ANDRESSA CORDEIRO :: Cinematographer

Cinematographer Andressa Cordeiro uses her visual expertise to translate each script into a unique visual language.

Her narrative work includes director Rob Margolies’ Bobcat Moretti, chronicling a man’s newfound obsession with boxing as he searches for meaning after losing his family; the Moderately Put Together pilot for director Leigh Ann Maynard; and director Michael Mooleedhar’s Green Days by the River coming-of-age feature set in Trinidad in the 1950s. Cordeiro also lensed several striking shorts: The Jump for director Carla Dauden and the dystopian They Charge for the Sun from director Terence Nance, nominated for a 2020 Humanitas Prize.

In addition to her narrative work, Cordeiro has worked with high-end commercial clients such as Disney, Hearst, Esquire, Nissan, Harper’s Bazaar, MLB and Facebook.

An English, Spanish and Portuguese speaker, Cordeiro holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinema from Paraná University of Art, a B.F.A in Printmaking from Paraná School of Music and Fine Arts, and an M.F.A. in cinematography from the American Film Institute.

Now based in Los Angeles, she has an active membership in the Brazilian Society of Cinematography (ABC) and its represented by DDA Talent Agency.
